Well its been a full week since I caught up with the blog - as not been online that much!!! But since last Wednesday I've managed to spend a day in London on the Thursday and picked Lydia up on Friday to travel upto Newcastle for the weekend - so it was a forced couple of rest days.
After getting up to Newcastle I also managed to have a large Chinese takeaway with a bottle of wine (I was been sociable :0) so though I'd better get up early to do a few miles on Saturday morning before the game - well actually managed to get in nearly 15 miles - which was more than I anticipated, but I had miscalculated the route.

After that I went to the Newcastle game versus Arsenal - now if you need any examples of being positive the Newcastle performance was certainly one of them. 4 nil down after 26 minutes and looking likely to concede during every Arsenal attack - Newcastle somehow turned it around in the second half, and a late equaliser by Tiote meant I had just witnessed one of the greatest games in Premiership history!!!!! The mind is such a powerful tool - something I will need to keep reminding myself of when digging deep for the Ironman.
After suffering for a couple of days I did try and spin the legs out on Monday evening - as they were still very heavy from the long run on Saturday - so did 40 mins on Monday night - which certainly was painful :0(
The past couple of days I 've been working in Slough but staying in Windsor - and after a late one last night, I managed an early morning run around Windsor and up the Long Walk - which ended up been a nice 5 miles - would have been better if it was light, but guess these mornings are getting lighter every day at the moment.

Not the best of training weeks - but a couple of decent runs - my Fink plan actually starts next week - which means only 30 weeks to Ironman Wales - so the focus will have to start properly.
