Start of the 30 week Ironman Training

Well the countdown has begun and the proper training (to a schedule has started :0). I've decided to follow the Don Fink training schedule from the beIRONfit book. So started after doing an hour on Sunday on the turbo, I did a steady 4 mile run on Monday night - felt good although the HR was right up for the first mile - but did calm right down at the same pace

After Mondays night run, I did a brick session on Tuesday night - again within HR Zone 2 - with a 30 minute Turbo session followed by a 15 minute run (higher HR), which felt good although I am still feeling that I havent got the strength in my legs at the moment (so may add some weights to help the cycling).

This morning was the start of my swimming - as not been in the pool for more than two months - and you could tell as I slugged it out in the middle lane. But got an hour in before work - so felt better for it, and know after a few more sessions I'll start to get the feel again.

So Ironman training has officially started for me - now lets see how it really goes :0)
